Seniors for Climate organized a Canada-wide Week of Action during Environment Week, from June 1-7, 2026, with community events designed to break through the climate silence.
Seniors for Climate hosted community climate cafes, neighbourhood walk-and-talks, open mic storytelling, music events, intergenerational discussions, seniors climate town halls, climate talk pop-ups, storytelling corners, and many other kinds of opportunities.

The events organized for the Break Through the Climate Silence Spring 2026 Week of Action were all aimed at inviting Canadians of all ages to have their say on how the changing climate affects them and how they want to fix the problem. Groups across Canada were invited to join the conversation by hosting their own similar events.
Seniors are breaking through the climate silence. Because silence is no longer an option.
We’re opening conversations in our communities, reducing polarization, and helping Canadians talk openly and honestly about climate again. This upcoming Environment Week, let’s talk climate.
These welcoming events made climate concern visible again in communities from coast to coast.
